I recently downloaded instant roof and am enjoying running it through the paces.
worked with different roof types and building perimeters.
There was a project I worked on several years ago.....by far the most challenging roof I have ever come across.
The house was built and the truss manufacturer was able to work with my roof plan.
I have drawn the building perimeter in sketch up from scratch with three different ceiling hgts.
Instant roof got most of it right but a few issues....no fascia drawn....no eave overhangs in many areas.

Maybe I missed it but I don't see any info/tutorial on turret, conical roofs, I tried extruding a circle and tried to apply a simple roof but it just created a tall extension of my original round shape...

Hi there - fantastic script by the way - really useful for day to day modelling so thanks for your time spent on developing it.

Just wondering if it's possible to have one pitch angle on the main roof and then a different one for two gables coming off that main roof like in the image below:

I'm trying to have the main roof at 40 degrees and the two perpendicular gables on the front at 45 degrees - is this possible?

Instant Roof crashes on more then 4 or 5 buildings at a time. Is there anyway around this? Can the plugin work incrementally to do the buildings in batches? We have 300+ house to do all at once.

Another side issue.. Is there a way to select only surfaces in Sketchup? Currently selecting everything at once selects edges plus faces.
